Broken Thoughts

Sean^45 2000 (Limpopo)

troubled heart, harboring a hopeful mind
Passion shared from a distance its hard to let go
an inch of a second passes by while i wait for us
days of thunder turned into days of trauma
used to think maybe you are not as genuine
that you were too good for the universe to let escape
how could i ever feel safe when your heart so pure?
if all i could do for you is be here wherever you want,
would all your dreams ever be fulfilled?
with a lesser grip on the world that's fading,
a man stands with nothing but a memory,
is it enough to hold back all the doubt?
will the pain prove to be insufferable,
grace just seems way too enough for it all
prayer no longer the same as that of the old
age has turned grapes bitter so is it all a coincidence?
the bitterness of it is what makes life bearable
what more can we ever hope for, joy?
that's a morning thing when i get the chance at hearing,
hearing you beautiful voice transforming
from crackly to truly what i have come to appreciate
i love your voice with all it produces, words!
