A Shallow Poem

Why does it hurt so much to feel beautiful?

I like the way that I laugh,
The way fabric falls off my hips,
My eyes.

I like all these things and more,
But why does it feel so hollow?

Maybe my laugh annoys people,
My hips are too narrow,
My eyes are uneven when I smile.

Perhaps,
Do I not deserve to feel beautiful?
Deserve to be liked?
To be loved?
