Bravery

I'm afraid of the world.
I'm not afraid of blood or pain,
Of falling or death.
But I'm terrified of words and thoughts,
Of heights and being left.
I hate elevators and loud noises,
I'm scared of lightning.
I'm so afraid of failing.
I'm not scared of disfigurement,
Dismemberment,
Or Burning.
I'm not afraid of losing my mind.

I wish that I was better.
I know who I am
And I'm not afraid of her,
But I can't imagine being loved.
