INTENSE

Maybe if I was quiter
If I didn’t let poetry live through me
If I was louder and didn’t let harmonies resonate and manifest in my mind instead of outside my mouth
Maybe if my manifestation of what we call a personality was not labelled “intense “
So early on I could’ve broken free years ago
But it’s different when it’s me
When you carnt see your veins though your skin or you hair isn’t silky smooth and yellow
Your not romantic
Idealistic
Worth protecting
Let alone worth listening to
It’s tactless
It’s a test
It’s all a test .
