You came back, enchanting Autumn!

You came back, enchanting Autumn!
My kindest and patient Mentor
I love your lessons of the fall and wisdom
Of the eternal life and the delight
Of our transcendental existence
My spirit laughs and dances to the rhythm of rain
The orange golden miracle of change
Your cool and watery triumph I welcome
Instead of scorching never ending summer tale
I love the twilight of your cold evenings
They feel like added hours to the day
We sit at home writing poems
Cuddled in warm knitted clothes
Mulled wine in hand
It’s beautiful! It isn’t gloomy
It runs and rings on roofs and window panes.
And singing of the coming Christmas.
