Storm

Myya Selene 1996 (General Santos City)

I'm in the middle of the storm,
heavy fluids cover my soul,
battling the edge of you and me
makes my heart stings a little more;

Please, sweet siren...
Be gentle with your thoughts,
for I was always possessed by loneliness
and still drowning in your tormenting-
express;

Can my mind take it longer?
Or my heart starts to set the bar?
Will my body, be okay after?
Or maybe I'm just an abuser?

Can't comprehend the idea of unworthy,
For I, myself, trying to fix this agony,
You're certain to cut me with your words,
and leaving my sanity, a helly mess;

You created the storm inside my world,
Yet, you're not willing to save me,
I know you're not going to join me to dance-
and sway the cold breeze of the night,
Because you wanted me to embrace,
The reality that we're not meant to be;

About this poem

I wrote this poem because I was into someone in the past and indulged myself to love without limits but I think the stars between us are not aligned and I decided to teach myself to move forward, as this is the best thing to do.

Myya Selene

I grew up in a very simple yet imperfect family. I spent my whole life grinding to support them and waiting for someday my breakthrough will come. I enjoy writing because this is my outlet and way of expressing my unspoken feelings towards this trickery life. more…
