Île d’amour

The fragrance of lavender and sampaguita was
everywhere, drifting on the afternoon breeze
filling my nostrils and my dry throat.
The ice in my drink clinked out a melody and
waved to me, my other half sat on the balcony
he turned his head to me as I approached
I leant down and kissed his warm lips
he stood up and I kissed him again.
He met my gaze and smiled then looked down
At his lap, my eyes wandered to his
short and button down shirt. He looked
appealing to my eyes.
His arms aroused me or was it the cooling
Air or at the knowledge of my gaze.
I felt no shame as I gazed upon him
He looked up at me with hypnotizing eyes
His eyes said our drinks could wait awhile
I took his hand and allowed him to lead the way.
