An ode to the Indian solider
To the people who have kept everything in order,
I thank them for the sacrifices they made at the border.
They who stood up and fought with no fear,
Without giving a second thought to their unspoken tears.
I talk of our heroic Indian solider
And salute them for always being our country’s holder.
Today we stand safe and that’s only because of you
So many of you go missing without any clue.
They are the men of honor, valor and pride
They have put their lives on risk and died.
To every warrior who died fighting for the country,
And made us proud for their gallantry.
They move, leaving what they own
Carrying firearms on their shoulders, all alone.
They leave their beloved mothers ,children and wives
And selflessly, they sacrifice over their dreams and their lives.
They are the ones who safeguard our homes,
But alas, we only carve their names on the stones.
The freedom is what they altruistically give
but with a bleeding heart, their bodies are ripped.
Everyone gets silent and searches for their trace
But their are wreaths of chrysanthemum adorning that space
The Kargil divas- is a tough but a proud truth,
Where many were the ones who lost their youth.
Let us all commemorate the victory of those who have laid their life
At the battlefield fighting with sprit, heroism and not caring for their cries
