A Grave Walk

I prayed my way through yesterday
To wonder still how my own will
Marked and left it jaded
Sick and hollowed
I thus followed
Echoing reflections
I found my ghosts, appearing close
To my inner complexion

I know so well what these ghosts tell
They have reason no more
To rise with screams or haunt my dreams
As countless times before

With silence kept in this great depth
We walked familiar graves
And I took care to note the air
How restless it behaves!

With a wry smile watching while
This place holds its breath
Doomed to fail it soon exhales
Revealing more than death

About this poem

I love Fall and crows - which are widely misunderstood. I love light which is seen best from shadows when I need to hide.
