Poems of the equinox

As the sun crosses the celestial equator in the city of heaven so vast
And the days of earth and the nights times equally seem to last
Where the souls wander freely with the queens and the kings of the past
Poems are being written nothing omitted as they amass
Some are about writing their own complex sordid lives, others are the animals with whom they share their strife
Some are chants for money and prayers for objects so sublime

The more the search they find, a pebble token here and thrive.
Sudden awakenings found that bring them to a tear
Rusted finds on riverbanks; cruelty so pained that it doesn't need to stare
What of all these poems of the equinox getting near?
Many of them untold but to God above, my dear.
Yet it is so hard to ask of you to just love, have no fear.
Mothers still hitting children whilst singing Amazing grace
Fathers criticising the perfection of their pace
Politicians and leaders so unloved they fall from place
Just to have the followers they cannot bare to disgrace.
One day you'll have to look inside astounded by your race
So when you do be ready for it will smack you in the face.
