Trapped

Zy’Neya Haynes 2007 (New Jersey)

We all are trapped in this society. Each one of us is wrapped around this social law of perfection.
We all brawl to be seen as perfect, but we are ruining our happiness and I’ve begun to understand that it is not worth it.
We crawl into this faint reality. Each one of us is trapped inside of this social law of perfection, we follow it to seek validation by others, but is harming our mentality worth it?
We are ruining our reality, actuality, and mentality by getting trapped into society’s world. In that a world where we do not exist, our true selves are furled behind a mask.
For us to feel accepted by society’s world we make it a task to be shown as happy and strong, but in actuality we feel weak and alone.
None of us wants to feel rejected in this faint reality.
That leads to us putting on a mask every day, so we won’t feel neglected in a world where we do not exist.
