The dead that don’t belong

Lily Mae 2011 (Missouri)

Sometimes when i'm out cruisin' and singin' in traffic All of a sudden the words get real graphic
Cuz what's passin' before me is hurtin' my head
It's the passing parade of the ungrateful dead

I'm serious .. this is somethin' that makes me go ballistic!
Don't waste my time .. I mean, let's get realistic!
They even got a cop out there halting your day
What are the afraid of .. will the dead lose their way?

Oh sure .. they pay all this money, get all dressed up Get flowers, some limos, and an off-duty cop
Give the dead one last 'glamour shot' and real fancy casket
Then go stand in a circle and throw dirt on top of it!

What's wrong with this picture; c'mon give me a break
Stuck in traffic for this is really more than I care to take
Can we be a little stupider with these processions?
Like maybe drive slower .. and have some concessions!

Yeah, that's the ticket! Have burnt popcorn and in-funeral movies ..
And black balloons for the kiddies .. and ungrateful dead groupies!
We'll have Hendrix, Janis, Elvis and Jim Morrison posters ..
Sad clowns and mimes, and free cremating toasters!

Honestly, this is the biggest waste of time, energy and gas ..
All orchestrated to cover some dead dude with grass
I mean .. think about it .. who are they doing it for..?
It just can't be the dead guy .. he don't care anymore!
