The Covers of the Darkness

It's not just 'anything'
It's an empire,
Who is invading my thoughts
And Darkness is their sire.

In a corner where there is light
I am trying my best to hide,
Tears are falling down my eyes
because my happiness just died.

It is an empty room
With no windows or door,
Concealed at my place
I could hear the darkness' roar.

Oh no! They found me,
I am being handcuffed,
They are locking me behind the bars
Where other people also got crushed.

It's so dark in here
Provide me some light,
It is hard to contrast in this darkness
What is wrong or what is right.

To be honest, I might not hate it much
My mind is no more a mess,
Because I am already deprived of my feelings
Under these covers of darkness.

Hey! This is Ekanshi but I'd like to be called 'Eku' better. I started writing poems since 9th grade. And I find my joy in poems. The way words rhyme, the way we narrate...makes me happy :) more…
