Rope

I want to be free;
Free of this disguise.
I am held captive;
It chokes me inside.

The rope that strangles me,
Takes away every moment of glee.
I wish I could be free;
From this eternity of misery.

I want to explore,
But I am bound to the shore.

Every time, I try;
It burns me to the pry.
I want to be free.
Free of this disguise.

I am not the one to lose hope,
Nothing can do this rope.

About this poem

There are certain limitations that keep us from doing things that we want to do, but in the end it’s up to us to give into the limitations or to fight with a smile on our face.
