Menstration

Dear beautiful.
Some tissue you need to get rid off,
it comes in every month
the cycles you try to count.

The flow
is not a cause for sorrow,
neither will you feel ashame
as unpredictable as it comes.

it's never easy to say,
but it will be gone in days
the cramps will make you cry,
but it shows the strong woman you will be.

A released ovum
for your body to bloom,
to show the viability of your womb
smile d pains off your face.

Your period is not a dirt,
your period is not a filth,
don't be demoralised of the lurching
amidst fingers pointing.

you are a woman
and valuable are you
your period is your health,
smile off the shame when it flows.

About this poem
