Knot

   “Knot”
Feelings and thoughts in a knot,
Everything seems like a blot.
It’s ok, I tell myself;
Without them, I’d be a bot.
A knot that ties my fate with thee;
It seems impossible to be free.
It’s ok, I tell myself;
Cutting the knot is the key.
I cut the knot without goodbyes;
Yet, there are tears in my eyes.
It’s ok, I tell myself;
Even the darkest night will end, and the sun will rise.

About this poem

I wrote this poem to cheer me or anyone else who is currently or was in a toxic relationship or friendship; reminding them that no matter what happened/happens, things will be better. I used my favorite quote, which I find very motivating, as the last line of my poem.
