Euphoria

It was a glimpse
Of joy, a mist
Neither did I insist
It was magical, an eclipse
It was surreal
A dream so real
It was on a thread
Like wildfire vastly spread
Or a sweet wine to taste
A mice in haste
A noxious thief
Purloin in dark a brief
It was a dream careen
To wonderland I've been
A gypsy on err
Like an obscure wildflower
Where butterflies never fleet
Nor set a cold feet
For it gives fear that crept
To a child's deepest wonder kept.

About this poem
