Alone

I feel alone in my troubles

It’s an out of body experience

I feel like I’m under the rubble

So much weight for me to handle

I feel like a burden

Nobody to confide in or talk to

Nobody to trust with my problems

 Who is it in this world that I can turn to

I feel like I’m not enough

Nothing I do counts for anything

It feels like when things get tough

I’m sitting in a pool of my tears deep within

Will the constant pain ever end

Even the painkillers couldn’t take it away

In the saddest moments of my life I pretend

By carrying this smile on my face

So that they would not see

The hurt I carry right inside of me
