A SIDE OF THE WORLD

There still is a side
of this world
where kids still saunter around
with no wears.

There is still a side
of this world
where folk-tales never die:

elders still tell stories
while children still listen
and still never harbor a doubt.

There still is a side
of this world
where ducks still co-work with hens
and goats still bleat and behave
 like the past;

cocks still wake us
in a part of this world.

There is still a side
of this world
where myth birds
still circle and crackle;

I still see vultures.
Eagles still glide
And butterflies still file.

There still a side
of this world
where airs are still pure
And the atmosphere still calm.

There is still a side
of this world
where changes never
change their lifestyles.

I thought all was lost

But here,
there are relics
of old days.
