Advocate Of Desire
The exordium suffused with the saccharinity of desire,
Oh love; maybe it was the grandeur of our tranquil illusion,
The fragrant roses that we were; it was your manifest charm that got me,
A hideous state of oblivion; we would contemplate our love to last forever
My heart is tumultuous; every piece gets into a profanity-laced war,
Blood sarcasm it is; it hurts to breathe and I breathe because it hurts,
You never broke my heart, you injured it; a wound that never turns into a scar,
A masochistic soul it is; I’m falling in love with the idea of feeling this way
Dead ends are not dead ends; look up because there’s a sky to heaven,
The dark shadows would never intimidate me again; it’s pure irony,
Locked up in the prison of love, a prison of pulchritude that I would never escape,
That’s the beauty of ugly love; it’s hideous but you set your heart on it
It’s where the world starts, where it ends; a game called love that burnt me,
God, you’re the one who I seek help from; you’re the advocate of desire,
You gave it away to someone else, what was only mine,
Did I escape? Did I walk away? No. mine was real, mine was love.
About this poem
This poem was written with a spirit of amatory and aggression at the same time, to depict how deep, love could dig a claw into a person's heart. I wrote this poem to portray my vision towards love and life.
