Transformation

Jason Severance 1978 (Lincoln, Maine)

mercy of times echo
a delay that keeps
I'm bored and rising to the yesterday's that bear out truths I now see
hurt me newly or leave I implore
This prospect was the poorest of mirrors reflecting the dust of neglect
subjective interpretation belies
a tether so fragile combust
a Coward broth uncomplicated like child's cereal
you are the mind squatter
convincing only your dolls of the ground you hold
the unreal pile of regurgitated tropes
Camouflage so poor
truth tickling like intimacy informing
The lesson love isn't real only a contract
Paying rent everytime I breathe those breadcrumbs
The helping hands of the labyrinth only servants of the trap door of betrayal
