Easier Obtained Maintained Fame

Once a ball given to a child to bounce,
Up and down then to chase...
Wherever it goes.
Today?
This has become a wish to dream,
With repeated demands to hear...
For a stadium built.
And it promised would be done.
At that child's specific requirements.
To enable them to imitate,
The ones they worship to idolize.
Seen playing with their balls on TV.
Movies, videos or wherever their idols be.
Getting paid millions of dollars to do it,
Just to toss them around.
Whether on or off their fields of play.
Getting paid even more to advertise,
Holding their balls to display in various ways.

'What are you doing on that website?
I hear you groaning and moaning.
Watching how balls are tossed day and night.
You told me you'd be in your room,
Doing home work.

'I am.
Didn't you tell me,
If I kept working at it long enough...
It would be hard to refuse my talents.
And what I have accomplished to do?'

'Yes.
Practice does make perfect.
But more on the field of play.
Will your talents be enjoyed to accept,
That way.
And not alone to play with yourself!
Just to enjoy the doing of it.'

'I understand.
I'm doing it to enjoy it alone.
As much as I can.
Until I am told and made convinced,
By someone who tells me...
What I have done to achieve,
Pleases them as well.'

'You will.
One day you will.
Until many now disbelieving,
Will pay you for the pleasure of it done!'

'That's my wish.
But I hope I don't regret overdoing it!'
