who am i to judge
the deserving of an apology you may hold
so i am to say 'i am sorry'
for the last time, i hope

i am sorry, dearest mother
for you are ashamed of who i am
and i am sorry, mother dearest
for the only thing i am to be ashamed
is the act of shame that you show

but i am sorry, my loving mother
that will not be able to love me the way you do
and i am sorry, believe me mother
for to be ashamed of you

i probably wrote this a few months ago when I was drunk. i think I like it.
