Dracula, World scholar or grumpy old dude?
Here I lay in this oak box
Centuries pass and still no rot
My beating heart
The only thing alive
Keeps me awake as it keeps time
Long has the sunrise
Escaped thine eyes
Only by light of the moon
Will I rise
And again like before
I'll take flight from my crypt
To satiate this hunger
With just a few sips
As I search for a victim
I take in the views
Of war torn lands
And political abuse
Yet I'm the monster
That doesn't die
But governments kill more
With a few simple lies
Oh, I've loved and I've lost
As the world turns to shit
I've had recent thoughts
To Hell with all of it
I may be a monster
But at least I can admit
That I've killed for hunger
Not useless bullshit
Maybe I should call it a life
Walk out of my castle
At first morning light
See the splendor of a sunrise
Feel the warmth on my skin
And burn till I'm but ash
Blowing in the wind
Who am I kidding
This world's already dead
Like lambs to slaughter
They hang on every word said
So praise your leaders, these gods you place on high
And I'll stay a little longer
To suck each
One of
You
Dry
