Angel in disguise

My life was falling apart
Right before my eyes
I couldn’t pull it together
No matter how hard I tried

I felt like that was it
I was at the end of my rope
Life had nothing left for me
Not even a little hope

Then something unexpected happened
A miracle if you will
An angel sent from heaven
Help me climb the toughest hill

You came into my life
Without a second glance
You took me by the hand
And gave me that second chance

But little did I know
And much to my surprise
That’s my angel sent from heaven
Was the devil in disguise

You got me where
 I am today
But not without
a price to pay

You chewed me up
And spit me out
You never cared
I soon found out
