A LETTER TO DEATH

DEAR DEATH,
Oh,
how so many people mourn you and do not rejoice you.
For you are not just our end,
but also a new beginning.
Oh, Death
How I envy you
For you know our last breath before we breathe it
And yet so many people taunt you with life and beg for you in their prayers.
Oh Death,  how I try to comprehend you?
How can You take our loved ones and leave us lost and despaired
And  where?
Death, Where do you take us?
To purgatory or  to the pearly gates!
Do we rebirth or do we just return to dust?
But death I do want to thank you.
Because of you we are learning to live for others
 And to cherish every moment..
For we now know you come like a bullet out of a gun.
