Forgiveness Mode

Those who stay and remain cemented,
In an irreversible forgiveness mode.
Most know,
That a trying to make attempts to remember...
Who did what a long time ago.
Done to do when and why.
To repeatedly forgive to excuse their alibis.
For them to forgive,
Over and over again.
With a forgetting to remember,
Who did what to do and when.
That makes no difference if again forgiven.
Or wanting to wish,
What was done and why to who.
When the doing of it,
Had been intended or not and why care?

'Wow.
It's you.
I don't believe this.
And look at you looking at me.
As if you don't remember who I am!'

'And,
I...uh...hope,
You will not insist I remember...
The reason behind,
You and the memory...
Has gone to nolonger remain in my mind.'

'Will you stop joking like that.
You don't remember me?
We had the same English class.
In Junior High School.
Remember?
That was 60 years ago!'

'I...uh...I...
Oh.
Is that you?'

'YES.
It sure is.'

'You haven't changed a bit.
I am so glad to have seen you.
If you don't mind,
I was just rushing inside the store...
To pick up a can of B.S.'

'B.S.?'

'I meant to say Baked Salmon!'

'Canned?'

'Why not?
Everything today seems so...'

'Unnecessary?'

'Now don't tell me you're a mind reader too!?'

'I won't.
Although...
I am a forgiver of all lies told to me by liars!'

'Now...
That's something we both have in common.'
