Deciduous Delight

From the scenic ridge trail we strode
Gabbing all morning easily flowed
Pacing pup tails expressed thrill
Upbeat spirits we ambled downhill
Quick autumn wind joined our banter
Sudden delight invoked laughter
Sycamore leaves yellow and red
Swirl up and all around her head
Beneath a patterned scarf she smiled
As the blur of color spun wild
She radiated buoyant reverie
Hold dear this breezy memory
