A Heartbroken Woman

They wonder why she puts down on herself so much. If they take the time to stop and listen, they all might hear what I hear. Do you want to know what I hear? I hear sadness loneliness, and a heartbroken woman. She looks and sounds happy, but she's not. If you take the time to talk to her, then you can hear it all in voice. Sometimes at night, she cries herself to sleep. I hear her crying in the middle of the night. She says she's fine when I ask her what's wrong, but I know there is something bothering her. There are days when she will talk to me about some of her problems. All the other times she says I'm too young to understand.
