YOU ARE NOT ALONE”

“YOU ARE NOT ALONE”
My friend, my dearest friend,
The wings of time push you and me out to the sea
Crystal blue beaches
Golden warm sun
White smooth sand
Silver magnificent waves
Here we are
They weave my heart, it’s glistering
I think I have the best
But when I look deep into your eyes, I realize
The sun is not as warm as your eyes,
for your eyes are also a fire light my night during the cold.
When I really listen to your voice, I realize
The sea is not as pure as your voice calling my name in the sun
for your voice is also a drop of morning dew pouring into my soul.
When I open my hands for your gift of care, I realize
The sand is not as gentle as your care,
for your care is also a meadow raising my bare feet.

I see a new sky when I look deep into your eyes
I want to make a ship
Yes, I want to make a ship.
I take my tears to sew a sail
I collect my pains to build a hull
I weave my sorrows to beautify the ship with hope
With all my ups and downs, I strengthen the rope.
You share with me scope
You share with me dreams
You share with me passions
You help me build the ship.
The keel, I need
We make it with your belief
The rudder, I need
We make it with your longing
You wind my sail with miracle threads from your heart
You stand behind, your love pushes me forward
Here I go, out to the sea.
Open is the sky
My eyes open
My soul flies
My voice rejoices
My heart sings
I have the sea
And yes, I have the storm
The gulls shout over my head
The clouds get low
The sky falls down
The wind changes its direction
Lighting and thunder
Rain and waves
They want to sink my ship.

In the mist and chaos of my life, there’s a whisper in my heart
“You’re not alone.”
I hear your voice,
Yes, I hear your voice deep in my heart.
Dark clouds are still above me, your voice cannot melt them away
Scary thunders still threaten me, your voice cannot stop them
The sky keeps falling
The rain keeps pouring, your voice cannot dry it out
Yes, it cannot change my day
Yes, it cannot change the way
Neither it brings me the blue sky
nor the gentle waves
nor the warm sun
nor the smooth sand
nor the calm sea
but it keeps my heart calm
it does bring me calm
for I know:
what ruins my days can make my days
what pulls me down to the abyss can fly me up to the sky
what moves me to tears can move me to smiles
what makes me afraid can make brave
and the farther, the nearer, you give me strength…

Yes, I am not alone.
