Life is like a tidal wave

I stood on the balcony of my patio
As I watched my life drain away
The silent wind carrying away my cries
Life is like a tidal wave
Within the span of a day my life drifted away

I thought of all the wrongs I had done
The days are like bullets tearing at my skin
How my life changed within the span of a day
Wounds in my skin that I can feel

I realized how difficult it was to let go
How life can be like a tidal wave
But I realize i will eventually heal
Cold nights replaced by sunny.skies

Loss still tears away at me
Like my own demon is haunting me
Perseverance is key
But only if I allow it to be
My depression is eating me away

Day drifts into night
More of my soul is devoured each day
  I don't bother with time
Nothing seems to matter anymore
Life has stolen my bright smile

To blame myself feels like a wrongdoing
To call myself a criminal feels like an understatement
The words he screamed are bullets in my skin
Anxiety is rising and drowning me in my sorrow

Darkness I surrounding every bright corner of the room
Till I feel numb and gloom
My happiness is drained from my system

My only happiness is walking, walking away from my problems
The wind lifts my spirit along with my pain
I truly believe there's no escape

My thoughts are all like a tsunami, swirling around in my mind
Pushing,pulling,and weighing me down
I did this to myself I thought for a split second
But as quick as the light came it drifted away just as quick

I no longer feel like a person,I feel like a robot
My emotions as numb as medication
There's no way things can go back to how they used to be
No matter how hard I tried

My life is like a hurricane,an absolute mess
    My thoughts Like a tsunami
My emotions are swallowing me whole

There's a light at every tunnel but I truly believe it's lies
All my issues are like thorns and knives My trust is as rickety as an unstable bridge
And my health fully drained away
