Him

Annette Berberena 1975 (Cambridge)

When you point your finger, theirs 3 pointing back at you.
You don’t care about what’s on our minds unless it’s about you.
What you eat don’t make us shit. What you spend ain’t bought us shit.
All that selfishness will get you is a one way trip
Now, one may trip if they’ve been lied to or skipped
Or mistreated or abused but you ain’t got no excuse.
And me, I ain’t been nothing but sweet.
And we… I’m the sugar to the tea.
And what’s up, remove the sugar life tastes bitter as f*ck.
I’ma keep my sweetness in my own damn cup!
And one day… never mind…you don’t hear nothing I say
The batter on plate, is always swinging to late
Damn!…
I thought we was a grand slam
You only hitting fouls not one ball in the stands
I thought us sliding into to home plate was a part of the plan.
I guess some things I’m not meant to understand!
