Insurmountable
Sri Djoko 1975 (Indonesia)
In the midst of loneliness
I curled up myself into salvation
I knew by heart it was all over
It was indispensable
Your existence is indelible
Yet you have perished long ago
Living forward within the tangling
Reality and realm of minds
Is so much living in a “ship-wreck”
A part of me was so much drown
My feet were dredging so hard to climb back up
A son clinging on my shoulder
A must duty call coexisted
That I must immediately resume the new roles of life
A decade has passed
A new history has been recorded
His son is now a young man to be
He reminded me once again of you
Has time been harsh on me?
Or has it taught me to grow stronger
Peeling layer by layers of flips and flops
Swayed me across the mysteries of life
Persistence and consistency
Absorbed me the most of all
Attacked of left and right
Enabled me the survival from the punching bag of life.
The incidences of life
With the driven force to survive
It is insurmountable
About this poem
Life journey and experiences towards a process with persistencies and will to survive gives a speechless jaw dropping moment.
