America The Beautiful
That’s not a Blackman, that’s something else
Oh beautiful for heroes proved
He’s assimilated and doesn’t know his true self
Who more than self, their country loved
They did him wrong, now he’s gone
In liberating strife
Oppression from the beginning, so long
And mercy more than life
Jannatul firdaus after he dies as he cries
America, America may God thy gold refine
You’ll never rise above this test
‘Til all success be nobleness
So I’ll see success if I decide
And every gain divined
As a child he was ridiculed
And you know when I was in school
They taught a song of fear
We used to sing it something like this, listen here
But watch out for the lies
Oh beautiful, for spacious skies
That part sounds insane
For amber waves of grain
Oh shit, nothing but thieves
For purple mountain majesties
They stole identities of the main
Above the fruited plain
This Bitch is doomed, I have no doubt
But now wait a minute, I’m talking about
the great prostitute who sits on many waters
Yes Her indeed
The kings of the earth committed adultery
America, sweet America
Centuries upon centuries flesh for food
You know, God done shed his grace on thee
Hid Islam in the Constitution see
He crowned thy good, yes he did, in brotherhood
The lie you tell and hope to be
From sea to shining sea
You know, I wish I had somebody to help me sing this
It wouldn’t be the way you think or even how you wish
(America, America, God shed his grace on thee)
For quite sometime, now listen to this lie
America, I love you America, you see
I love my country, not Her motives, she will die
My God he done shed his grace on thee
Your death is real soon maybe high-noon
And you oughta love him for it
You oughta kill yourself soon
Go ahead and get the shit over wit
‘Cause he, he, he, he crowned thy good
In various verses and scriptures
He told me he would, with brotherhood
Also said You’re the worst creature
(From sea to shining Sea)
THE ARK PROJECT is here, now ALL ABOARD
Oh Lord, oh Lord, I thank you Lord
(Shining sea)
About this poem
An activist is a person who campaigns for some kind of social change. When you participate in a march protesting the closing of a neighborhood library, you’re an activist. Someone who’s actively involved in a protest or a political or social cause can be called an activist. A revolutionist is someone who wants to change the world — not just sitting around talking about it, but actually doing something to bring about change.
