They forgot about the wings
Soaring high
flying free
too many things to see
They forgot about the wings
In their hearts
on their backs
makes no difference
where they’re at
They forgot about the wings
Heavy now
splayed on the ground
not a soul to be found
They forgot about the wings
Dying now
without a sound
what was lost
will not be found
Because
I forgot about the wings
