I Watched Death

I stood there as a room of hope and effort resonated around the person fighting for the right of life
,And as time passed the effort became a battle and the hope diminished ,as Death stood by waiting patiently,
And as  his cape enveloped the soul, I saw the exhaustion of a battle that had been lost and watched the pain and sadness set in,
A Sadness that brought a tear to my eyes that witnessed Death.
