A Walk in the Park

B Fayard 1974 (Biloxi)

HIDE FROM THE STORIES
THAT YOU HEARD IN THE DARK
IT MAY FEEL LIKE AN ENDING
BUT I'M SURE THERE'S AN ARC.

DISTANCE YOUR MIND
YOUR PAIN ISN'T REAL
RUN AWAY RUN AWAY
FROM THE EMPTINESS YOU FEEL.

PUSH AWAY FROM THE BRANDING
 THAT FOREVER LEAVES A MARK
ALL THINGS CONSIDERED
IT'S A WALK IN THE PARK

ANOTHER DAY FORWARD
A NEW DAY? I CAN'T TELL
WISH I KNEW FOR CERTAIN
HOW I STUMBLED INTO THIS HELL

APATHETIC AND EMPTY
MY NAKEDNESS IS STARK
ALL THINGS CONSIDERED
JUST A WALK IN THE PARK
