A Poets Prayer

Belinda Richmond 1979 (Chicago)

April 22

Dear Heavenly Father ask this Day,

Bless me with words to speak on today,

Give me the Wisdom and Knowledge to Inspire,

And to recite my poems as I so Desire,

Bless my poetry and bless my words,

For people to listen and my Poems to be heard,

Thank you for Blessing me with Words to Share,

Thank you for Blessing me with A Poets Prayer!

AMEN!

    A poet's prayer, how original !
If only our words could be used for the Lord's glory,
And not our egos, then lets have a poet's prayer !
We need all the help we can get !

A Poets Prayer was chosen because of the poet's unique way of writing the poem. It's straight to the point, not too long or short. If I didn't know how to pray a simple prayer on my own, & I ran across this poem prayer ... I would definitely use this as a go to prayer to say daily.
