Hallelujah

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

You can make the butter fly
Or put some on your toast
So, go and heat the oven up
And we can make a roast

We’ll make a little loaf of bread
And put it on the table
We’ll make some gravy and vegetables
We’ll eat all that we’re able

We stay to help clean up the mess
To bless and thank our Host
And then we rise like butterflies
When we give up the Ghost
