Brightly Colored Quilt

I used to be so angry
Anger everyone could see
I used to be so twisted
I wasn't gently gentle me
I felt…
“Where the hell was home?”
That place that I could go
When I hated eyes against me
And was brought to the unknown
But
Home is in my people
Home is in myself
Home is a lovely darkness
With a brightly colored quilt
