Apparition of a Whisper

The cloud casts shadows as it dances across the sun.

The vapor of your whisper lingers as it traverses my heart.

It casts a cloak larger than life, existing as an apparition of your light.

The likeness of the message runs along, light and free as the wind carries it past my soul on a late summer breeze.

A brief reprieve from the oppressive heat, as the whisper brushes my face, an audible sigh meets it and calms the tempest plaguing my fate.

A forlorn remedy for an ancient prose. A whisper passing just long enough to be treasured as it goes.  

The apparition never lands, it's delicate form morphs as it races by and disappears as the vapor from which it originates, far away into sky.

The memory it deposited in such a brief encounter locked securely away in my heart forever.
