Stormy Rainbows

Shards of glass pierce my heart.
No loved ones tearing me apart.
Death is near, so close the fates can hear.
The string of life shall be cut.
No time to say goodbye to all those I love.
Colorful pills, so many to choose.
I swallow them whole with nothing to lose.
My rainbow after the storm never to set sail.
The beautiful angel's wings lead the way.
Home to our father, creator of man.
Farwell to our beautiful land.

About this poem

This poem is dedicated to all those who struggle with mental health. I wrote this poem for my brother who recently passed aways from an overdose last year. My hope is that through this poem I can reach out to others struggling through the same situation.
