Guarantees

Joel Leroy 2006 (Newcastle)

Guaranteed for all                                Truer than heaven to an atheist
Misery is what you mean                    For the alternative lies
Death by suicide is easy                      Courage for cowards
I’m an Orange under a bookshelf      And you’re the books on it
White eyes for easiness                      Don’t forget coke will do the trick
Leave me as a hermit                          For your disease is beyond medical
A me in today is wrong                       Swears to me, I cry
And on the brink I collapse                Love is fiction
Yet fiction is truth                                 Reality is not for me
Don’t think you’re righteous              None of you are
Neither am I, yet I                                Do not claim like you
Tomorrow is my last day                   Thank you world

About this poem

What an anti-social like me that doesn’t fit in feels in a large depressing fake world. (This is also my first poem ever).
