You Got Me

You Got Me….
Reminiscing over my life got me thinking of the ones that left opposed to the ones whom stayed.
The hours I sat up and prayed hoping you cared for me more than you said!
It’s like when the truth came around you had to do what you had to do.
But only to prove to others that you actually had what it took.
You shook the relationships you had established and now it looks like a flat soda with no fizz oppose to a seven-up
without a taste.
You Got Me..
Twisted with no words to say.
But today I shall walk away with a lighter strains on my heart and with my head held high towards  a new start.
To merely part ways from all the destructive thoughts and confusion you house.
I try to speak yet you greet me with silence of compiled frowns as if I'm not up to your standards.
Did you forget that you were once in a predicament spending years in fear that no one would ever accept you for you.
The hours you said you had my back but lack in the reactions.
The weak compassions or how you ration out who deserved more.
The lies that were covered up as I tried to fight for what was right as to what was wrong from the truth that resonated inside you.
Do you remember what you told me that first day we met?
Can you understand the intellect at the respect lost?
At what cost did you render when you cast me out in the sea of deception?
What or should I say who came between you and me?
Do what you do, as you got me tripping thinking it was me.
But in reality it was all you, playing the mind games with the friendship until something better came.
To be honest you selfish and should be ashamed of how you treat people.
You Got Me…
Now my mind is clear to bad it took me so many years as the tears finally cleared up from the pain you'd caused.
Listen I’m happy now, I truly wish you the best.
I’m done with the stress, it was fun but now my life must move on as I make my dreams come true.
I’m successful and thanking God daily for those who believed in me.
The ones that kept me uplifted and strong willed.
This is a finally farewell, so long pain and hello blessings overflow.
You Got Me,
No honey let's just say you had me, but now it's over.
I am living my life like I should’ve been way before I met you..
