Age to Age

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

Around and round we go again
It seems this ride will never end
But when they close the park at night
They power off; turn out the lights

The people leave; go to their homes
They clean the park with bots and drones
The park won’t open up again
Until the morning; light won’t bend

But lightning does and fire works
To cleanse the heavens and the earth
The Light returns and brings his friends
They’ll open up the park again

“Let there be Light”; we’ll stand and praise
We’ll worship Jesus all our days
But wicked men drown in their sins
Don’t let them in the park again
