Whispering Fields

They say there is nothing,
Tall tales of fish that fly.
No whisper in the wind,
Only time which goes by.

No whisper in the fields,
There is only a fool’s hum.
They say there is nothing,
And the old whisperer is gone.

No mareel lights up the hull,
Senseless whisper be damned.
They say there is nothing,
No songs from opaque land.

There are no violent seas.
There are no crystal shores.
There are no secrets in prime.

They say there is nothing,
A world from a world withdrawn.
Just know there is something,
If you hear whisper in the dawn.
