Eyes to See the Truth

Whatever is lovely,
Whatever is pure,
Whatever is excellent,
Do I need more?

You’ve given me things
To meditate on!
Why do I have eyes
To see what is wrong?

This world’s full of evil;
I know this is true,
But can I have eyes
That just look upon You?

I don’t want to see
All the things that are wrong.
I just want to love You
And sing You a song!

If my loved ones forsake me
I know You’re still there
So rise up O LORD
And show me what is fair!
