An Ending for circulation
An ending for circulation
On a wet autumn morning,
My mind was wandering,
From century to century
Spinning from country to country.
Now I realise,
That I was unaware of searching
For the beginning and the diminishing
Ending of an invisible circling .
Then a voice said the only resolution
to resolve what is occupying your thinking
Is to go to the Roundhouse.
Sit in the circle and listen to the music
And if you fancy try the dance floor.
To my disappointment and surprise
The Roundhouse circle had two endings.
In despair and my mind in disarray,
I found my way to the Circle Line
In hope of finding an ending or a beginning
To the Yellow Line (The Circle Line)
Once more this beginning
Came to an abrupt ending.
To save my sanity and conserve
What is left of me and my vanity,
I hurriedly went to the Oval.
But the shock was so overwhelming.
Slowly I found my way back to my dwellings,
Tired, wet and exhausted.
And this trauma had cleared my mind.
I am now sure there is one defined beginning
But too many uncertain
and undetermined endings.

About this poem
In search for some understanding why we daydream and move from one thought to another without much thought or efforts? The Round House is a music venue in London. The Yellow line is a circular metro line and the Oval is in south London. They play parts in circular thinking and travelling !!!
