A void in front of me I see

A meaningless void in front of me, I see
I look back and this is where you chose to let me be
Caressing one hand over the other, I am my own helper and supporter
leaving you with no strength or power
I pull my weight through the nothingness
knowing whatever we had so far was pointless
As I look back upon the relationship we once shared,
I wonder if you ever even cared
