Leap of faith

Once an egg hatched, and out came a bird. Little as it was, so vulnerable to the world.
Mum and Dad took care, fed, protected and stared. For one day they knew you little one would tread.
For fun and struggles were the same with happiness and fear no shame.
But no matter what would you be, they never stopped till the little one was free.
Then the little one learnt a lot, and took its first leap from the top.
How scared it was at that sight, but that leap was a trusted flight.
The second leap was like a flow, and then they knew it had grown.
Mum and Dad were relieved, for now you shall be free.
The happiness of freedom overwhelmed, but the dangers never stopped ahead.
For now the little one knew, all by for itself, what it had to do.
A sparrow, a pigeon or an eagle, they all follow the same cycle.
Your flight may be low or high, its that first leap that you gotta try.
